This newly designed compound, was conceptually based on American Federal style, grouping the farmhouse and barn structures together, as if connected over time, and repurposed for modern life. Architectural design, interiors, and hard and soft landscaping by TCA. The interiors are fresh, light and appropriately comfortable for an active family of adults, kids and dogs.

THE CENTURY

This is a new, Robert Stern designed, Art Deco influenced, high-rise condominium in Century City, Los Angeles. The apartment was conceived by TCA as a 1940’s era, Parisian Modern interior. We specified clean wood paneling as the background for the client’s special collection of American and European Art and Art Glass.

The project was conceived from ground up by TCA as a spacious, white, Cape Cod family residence sheathed in brick and clapboard, with soaring interior spaces providing ample backdrops for the client’s extensive, contemporary art collection. The juxtaposition of traditional architectural elements with clean, modern furnishings and lighting, creates an exciting blend for this eclectic interior.

BRENTWOOD COTTAGE

This 1930’s Tudor structure was renovated, enlarged , and detailed with half timbering, new plaster, skylites, and additional lighting to brighten the interiors and create a calm, zen-like simplicity of whites and subdued tones in the fabrics and wall coverings. Filled with client owned antiques and new upholstered pieces by TCA, this home is a delight to inhabit. Large steel windows throughout reveal the cottage’s park like exterior grounds.

This East Coast shingled cottage is comfortably situated on a Southern California ocean front with sand and sea at its door step. TCA renovated this vintage structure and gutted the interiors before building out this “Nantucket Style” home with its white and relaxed interiors. Board and batten, open beams, painted floors, and laid back art and furnishings, all add up to a grand time whenever the family gathers here.
