Paris Design Week 2018: Meet the Finalists of the Rado Prize Contest ⇒ One of the most important components of Paris Design Week is the prestigious Rado Prize Contest, organised by the Swiss watch brand. This year’s theme will be all about nature. A transversal and polysemic theme that through the knowledge of emerging designers will be put to good use in the promoting of design and innovation. The competition consists of a jury prize and a public prize aiming to make the winners’ projects known to the entire design community. According to the representatives of Rado, the theme will implicate a search for materials, textures and forms that were inspired by the world of nature. Designers must have a sensitivity when it comes to the sustainable of the materials so as to transmit to future generations a sense of durability, emotion and awareness of alternative consumption.
