Whilst visiting in Sydney in October for the Invictus Games, the Royal Couple will be staying at a Point Piper mansion, named Villa del Mare. The house is equipped with many bedrooms and incredible harbour view, it certainly doesn’t let anyone down.
The property is located on the exclusive Wolseley Road in Point Piper, considered the sixth most expensive street in the world, boasting 2000-square-metres of living space spread over three levels. It also has a wine room, gym and an entire “master wing” for total privacy.
It has an amazing view of Sydney’s famous harbour, that might even rival Buckingham Palace in terms of location. With incredible gardens and an infinity pool, the residence is the complete opposite from the inner city London digs the pair currently call home.
Lola Wang Li purchased the property in 2015 for a huge $41 million. A sale that made headlines at the time, due to the home being owned by China’s richest man, Xu Jiayin. Jiayin paid $39 million for the home, making a mere two million from the sale to Wang Li, who now rents it out to interested parties; say, royals.
With a Mediterranean-style architecture, the home is a blend of classic Australian style and one of a Tuscan villa — the ultimate combination and no doubt the perfect fit for these European royals.
The interiors are fresh and modern, with contemporary furniture and plenty of exquisite fabrics, including velvet that covers the walls, floors and ceilings.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will arrive be in Sydney from October 20 to 27, just one stop on their Australian tour which also includes Fiji, the Kingdom of Tonga and New Zealand.
