Discover some of the pieces she selected as her favourites for Maison et Objet 2018.
Essential Home Sophia Bed is a mid-century styled panel bed, with bonded velvet on the headboard and footboard, expertly stitched from the top to the bottom and accented with tufted brass buttons on both sides. It features square legs made of polished brass, which turns this bed into an inspiring design retro-furniture piece. Geraldine chose the blue velvet version of the amazing bed for her selection.
A piece by Maison Dada, the Rose Sélavy name hails from the fictional character created by French artist and Dadaist Marcel Duchamp. With dainty lines and a subtle colour combination of soft pastels and pink-brushed metal, Rose Sélavy is an ode to femininity. The tabletop features a very fine box where one can store their jewellery, as well as two mirrors (a round and extra-large one at the centre, and a smaller one that can be detached from the table and used as a hand mirror).

In the design of the Universo Positivo Cloud Desk, Hertel & Klarhoefer’s intention was to create a simple but beautiful desk with something special which made the difference. The metal clouds store and display one’s personal items in an elegant way. Its appearance combines feminine looks and functional design.
The inspiration for the Cinna Cosse settee was comfort. Soft, welcoming contours, a soft, delicate, all-enveloping form which, sustained by a fine natural wood structure, floats above the ground. The remarkable comfort of the seat, achieved thanks to its elastic-webbed suspension, contributes to this feeling of comfort and lightness. One will also note those little details which, as always with the brand’s collection, serve to add to the sumptuousness of the model: the meanders of the armrest, for example, and the resulting difficulty of upholstering these, or the extreme slimness of the solid wood feet.
The designer also included the Gallery 910 St. Ouen, the OYOY Living Design A Piece of Cake Mattress and the Signature Banquette Vanina in her selection. From 19 to 23 January, Maison et Objet 2018 will display these and many more incredible pieces. Don’t miss out the opportunity!
