Sidled up to Hotel Havana along San Antonio’s lush River Walk, the Mediterranean Revival–style building was constructed in 1914 by a self-made grocer, who might be delighted in just how much spotlight food gets in this recovered and sun-lit restaurant. The vibrant interior design pops with steel beams painted in turquoise, while the chic chandeliers are hardly necessary for the daytime as light floods this Latin restaurant with Texan charm.

 A combined of four distinct areas—from a rooftop terrace to a historic 150-year-old bar which was replanted from Greenwich Village—now connect to create Eberly. The study is the coziest of its rooms and stands right in the center, designed inspired in 19th-century British greenhouses, accented with hanging ferns and potted greens. Windows on either side look onto the other sections of the restaurant, while across the ceiling, sky windows pour in natural light over crowded brunches.

 It doesn´t require a translator to understand the name of this pocket park restaurant, secreted alongside the Four Seasons Hotel Buenos Aires in the lush La Recoleta district. The standalone glass restaurant centers on the asado, an Argentinian outdoor barbecue—which, in Nuestro Secreto’s case, is obviously indoors. Of course, all of the glass throughout the structure—from the roof to the walls—is designed to open wide to the outdoors, making the asado a bonafide al fresco spectacle.

Vegetables are the stars at Roy Choi’s Commissary, but the attraction is the space itself. It’s greenhouse-inspired structure is built like it means it—suspended plants thrive throughout the airy space. The all-window restaurant absorves the signature L.A. glow that filters through ceilings and walls as hotel guests lay about the adjacent pool.
