The word Moongata derives from the Swedish word “mångata” that is often found in the Swedish literature and poetry with a meaning as special as the brand’s concept: “The path caused by the moon reflection in the water”.
In the heart of Madrid’s Barrio de las Letras, where some of the most prestigious writers have lived and written, Moongata has opened its doors to provide Madrid with a new space for luxury interior design solutions with the aim of telling stories through its design pieces to whom visit it.

Situated inside a stately building from the 18th century, the Moongata designers opted to maintain the romantic essence of its façade, and it houses a collection of exclusive furniture and pieces for decoration, exuding the beauty of art.
José Usero and Alfredo Díaz were the curators of this unique selection, two young professionals with different trajectories, united by the same passion for art, design, and innovation.
The philosophy of the space is based on three fundamental aspects, which aims to fill a niche in the market that has not been exploited in Madrid: the furniture as a highly coveted piece of desire.
The three fundamental aspects include the Showroom inspiration, which is the result of Moongata purpose of creating an interesting space of encounter and inspiration in Madrid.
The other aspect is the quality and beauty of the design pieces since Moongata wants to overcome the furniture shop concept as a “warehouse” and they want to promote the concept of the showroom as an “art gallery.”
Finally, the third aspect is to tell a story. Each piece is presented in its concept and enhances its own identity as part of the story. In addition, the interior decoration creates an environment that generates impact and sensory experience in visitors.
Moongata also features the design pieces created in collaboration with Roy Lucas and with the Californian designer Ini Archibong, who creates furniture pieces inspired by the Formentera sunsets and by the Mediterranean lifestyle.
Moongata provides the Madrid City with a refined space where you can immerse yourself in a wide selection of colors and textures from all over the world.
In addition to the direct sale in its showroom located at 13 Lope de Vega Street, you can also see the MOONGATA creations at www.moongata.eu
