CovetED Magazine is a professional  in choosing the restaurants. This time our interior design team is eager to describe two new venues on the 64th floor of the Delano Las Vegas hotel: Rivea, a Mediterranean restaurant inspired by food markets in Provence and Italy, and Skyfall Lounge, an adjacent nightlife concept whose decor evokes the sunset.

Chef Alain Ducasse has opened these restaurants and this is one of the main reasons why this place is worth visiting and dinning. Moreover, Ducasse tapped French-Canadian design duo Patrick Jouin and Sanjit Manku of interior design/architecture firm Jouin Manku to create new venues.

Be sure that Alain Ducasse considered himself to be a happy chef! His cerebral home is a union between the South West, where the chef came from and the Mediterranean, a place that seduced him from a very young age. Alain Ducasse is always looking out for new discoveries and flavours.

“Upon entering the restaurant and lounge, every detail transports guests to those endless summer nights in the South of France,” says Ducasse.

Design elements include the Wave Wall, which was crafted with hundreds of glass pieces to mimic lapping water. A 50-seat private dining room, Rivea+, provides 180-degree views of The Strip via floor-to-ceiling windows. Fixtures consisting of twinkling lights reference constellations found in the city’s night sky.

Skyfall Lounge references the look of an evening sunset with deep purple, red and honey gold accents, as well as cloud-like forms suspended overhead. The venue also includes an expansive outdoor patio.
