Starting at age 16, with a family friend’s kitchen design, Kelly Hoppen developed over 40 years of experience at the cutting edge of the design industry, being sought all over the world. Originally from South Africa, Hoppen has spread her ever-evolving style globally, expanding her area of influence in many fields related (or not) with design.

Kelly Hoppen describes her style as a “subtle coordinated fusion of East meets West; clean lines and neutral tones, blended with charming warmth and sumptuous opulence”. As a matter of fact, the luxury design, the neutral palettes and beautiful textures, and a great sense of warmth and comfort in her designs define her signature look.

Winner of several awards, she was made an MBE in 2009 for her services to interior design. In 2016, she released her tenth book, entitled “House of Hoppen – A 40 Year Retrospective”. In recent years, she became even more well-known in the United Kingdom: in 2013 as a savvy investor in the popular show “Dragon’s Den”, and in this year of 2017 as a judge on the BBC program “The Great Interior Design Challenge”. Throughout the years, Hoppen has expanded her influence as a TV and film personality, and as the founder of the Kelly Hoppen brand, amongst other activities. But CovetED will always think of her as one of the best interior designers in the world.
