Kelly Wearstler’s Latest Luxury Residence in Los Angeles

Kelly Wearstler presents her latest luxury residence in Los Angeles! South California shows us how creative could be a residential project!

This Hollywood Proper Residence is a property that boasts 200 luxury residences – was conceived especially for the throngs of musicians, producers, writers, directors and actors who head to Los Angeles each year to work on projects. Available furnished for stays of over 30 days and up to 11 months – and unfurnished for longer term stays – the addition marks the area’s return to being a hub of creativity in Los Angeles.

The idea was to use the neutral colour palette, fine wood cabinetry… To match the contemporary furniture, art and sculpture vintage pieces.

The designer also left her mark to the lobby of Hollywood Proper Residences. ‘The lobby is layered in rich, neutral tones and a few thoughtfully selected furniture and art pieces, evoking a sense of invitation and lounging,’ she says. The décor, she adds, is ‘my idea of California right now: modern and relaxed’.

Los Angeles-based Kelly Wearstler designed the interiors of the property’s residences and the four penthouses – which range from 2,172 to 2,582 sq ft. Wearstler departed from her typical Hollywood Regency interior design style and used Los Angeles as a starting point, taking inspiration from its warm weather and the area’s storied Hollywood history.
