Versace gives us the very best of an Italian fashion. Donatella Versace, current Vice President of the company and its chief designer surprised the fashion world this year with her new Collection for Fall 2015. She showed again the understanding of woman’s sensibility, focusing again on one’s body with creations showing the highest level of elegance and creativity. The outfits, instead of covering the body, they celebrate it. Every single curve of a body of the model is underlined.
Donatella Versace showed that fairy tales exist in a real life, dressing the models as fairies. She showed the delicate pieces of clothes inspired by the flora and fauna of the forests.
First of all, she put 26 thousand orchids on the runaway underneath the glass panels. The most interesting thing however was the Medusa head made from the blooms that framed the entrance of the catwalk. The one opening the show was Lara Stone in the long-sleeved lavender color dress and leather platform go-go boots.
Some of the dresses, however, could be called more “showgirl” than “festival girl”. Stone was followed by many other popular models such as Karlie Kloss, Sasha Pivovarova, Anja Rubik or Caroline Trentini. Let’s not forget about the front row where we could find Naomi Campbell and Irina Shayk.
The makeup was made by Pat McGrath, who used mostly golden-green eyeshadow and glossy rose for the lips to make the models look more like the creatures from the forest.

Donatella put the flower crowns on the foreheads of the models, that was without a doubt very chic. It all looked magical and out of this world. Donatella commented : ”There are two faces. We wanted to show the softer side of Versace”.

It was obvious from the beginning that the new Atelier Versace’s Show will be extravagant. After all, their success is based on giving their customers what they want – not simply clothes, but slinky, glamorous gowns with a lot of sex appeal. They dazzled the public with the innovation and “getting out of their comfort zone” using the exact words of Donatella Versace. Each of these gowns took at least 300 hours to make and has a five-figure price tag, so the dresses will obviously be mainly displayed on a red carpet.
